ICL’s
agate mortars and pestles are the ideal tool for grinding
a matrix of a solid sample with KBr powder in preparation
for making a transparent pellet free from spurious absorption
peaks.
Pure agate is non-absorbing in an infrared spectrophotometer.
Mortar and pestle sets are available in custom sizes ranging
from 25mm to 200mm diameter as well as standard 35mm, 50mm,
65mm and 95mm diameters.
