Polyethylene is a useful transmission material for far infrared sampling. Polyethylene is non-absorbing between 16 and 2500 microns. Transmission is about 80%. The 12" x 12" or 24" x 24" square sheets are available in 0.80mm, 1.6mm, 2.4mm or 3.2mm thickness.
